Ashley has been my father’s home health nurse since June 2024. When he was discharged after an unexpected and prolonged hospitalization, my father was unable to walk, had low self-esteem, and a major bed sore. Ashley was very supportive, ordered supplies, and coordinated his home care with professionalism, care, and profound understanding. My father trusted Ashley’s clinical opinion and followed her advice. Gradually, his health improved as well as his mobility, but he was diagnosed with a pinched nerve that caused compression on the lumbar spine. In early August 2024, my father underwent a laminectomy surgery and was admitted to an acute rehab program. We notified Ashley, and she ensured care would continue after his discharge. The day after being discharged, Ashley resumed care and helped us acclimate to his post-TKR and laminectomy surgeries. She answered all questions from the patient and family members. My father’s BP was mildly elevated in the rehab program and post-discharge. Ashley contacted my father’s PCP and requested a medication adjustment, which improved his BP. She also set up remote BP monitoring and Life Alert. Simply put, Ashley provided exceptional home clinical care for over 5 months.
