Ashley was pivotal in the labor and delivery of our daughter. I had the privilege of meeting her for a lactation appointment a few weeks prior to delivery. At that time, I thought that all I was gathering was information about breastfeeding our child, but what really happened was the start of someone familiar by our side through one of the scariest and most vulnerable periods of my life.

After a whirlwind of laboring at home, I arrived at the hospital at 7 centimeters dilated and was ready to deliver our little girl. However, labor stalled when the doctor was present, so Ashley took over to help the process. Having the familiar voice and presence of Ashley helped calm and guide me as labor stalled for over 6 hours. While the delivery turned into a C-section, my interaction with Ashley was just beginning.

Ashley was my primary nurse during my first 36 hours. She provided exceptional care for our daughter and me. She helped support our first few days of breastfeeding and postpartum life. We are forever grateful for her guidance and encouragement during our transition to parenthood.
