Ashley Pawlak, BSN, CPN

Ashley is a coworker that I have seen care for our kids on the unit in such a special way. Last week, there were two particular occasions that especially stood out. Ashley stayed two hours after her shift to read to a patient who was lonely and scared. The next evening, she again stayed after her shift to sit and talk with a different patient who was dealing with fear, loss, and difficulty coping. She then proceeded to advocate to get this patient some therapeutic devices such as essential oils and a weighted blanket. These are just two special occasions in which I have seen Ashley go above and beyond for our patients and families. She makes such a wonderful difference in these individual's lives showing them so much love and compassion.
