My husband was brought from OR to ICU. He was on a ventilator. Upon his arrival, he started to wake up and began to pull out the tube immediately. The IV in his arm had come out so there was no way to sedate him. Ashley did not panic, she tried to calm him down while getting help. It required five people to restrain him while they inserted the central line. Ashley remained calm and professional while caring for my husband, addressing us and doing her job. We have experienced many critical medical situations, but this was handled with the most professional manner ever witnessed. Of the many hospitalizations we have experienced Ashley has been the best nurse by far. It not only requires a nurse that demonstrates superior knowledge, compassion and, now we realize, extreme calmness.
