Ashley Phillips, RN

I am a 21-year nurse and feel that our “new grads” do not get the recognition they deserve. Ashley is one such nurse. Her care for her patients shows not only the care and compassion but her continued education and critical thinking that today’s highly complex patient deserves. Secondly, she truly knows the term “team player” and is there for her fellow workers. Third, she shows great concern and care for the environment in which her patients and families are assigned; keeping a neat and clean area. These little things that keep the unit going may sometimes be overlooked by management but as a travel nurse it’s refreshing to see nurses like Ashley are flourishing in our field and making patient care and nursing a better place today.
