Ashley Riddle, RN
Our son was recently admitted to the Children’s NICU for a very sudden and unexpected illness. We were brought up from the ER in a very serious condition, and my husband and I were extremely overwhelmed and frightened for our baby boy. Ashley showed amazing compassion and competency that first night as multiple things were changing rapidly (oxygen changes, starting seizure medications, IVs going bad, etc.), which let us know we were in good hands.
Over the next three nights, Ashley continued to go above and beyond for our baby, researching and reporting back on questions we had, advocating for interventions to be weaned as his condition improved, and offering to stay late on her shift to accompany him to his MRI. The list goes on and on. She directly helped us get through the worst few days of our lives, and we will be forever grateful.
