A patient recently called to express how awesome his home health nurse, Ashley Snyder, has been for him. He stated he had surgery that included some rods and screws to be placed in his neck. Ashley saw him once he returned home and stated she thought he might have an infection. She instructed him to let her know if his temp went up. At 6:30 pm that night, his temp was 101.2. At that time, Ms. Snyder was already at home cooking dinner when he reached out to her, but he shared that she went above and beyond to help him. She called his surgeon and let them know he was coming back to the hospital. They were ready for him when he got there. He ended up having surgery again due to having a staph infection and sepsis. He feels her actions saved his life, and he is forever grateful. He shared that Ms. Snyder didn't have to do all that she did for him; she was off-duty but cared enough to get everything lined out for him.
