I am an RN myself, and Ashley is the most caring and compassionate nurse I have ever met. She cared for my daughter as if she were her own, going above and beyond on a daily basis. As an example, my daughter's hair contained glue that was needed for continuous EEG monitoring. After the monitoring ended, Ashley spent hours helping me wash and comb my baby's long hair. Even though my daughter was in a coma, Ashley would speak to her and truly care for her, treating her with so much love and respect. On top of being loving and kind, she is a truly skilled nurse. At a difficult time, Ashley was there for me as well, helping to comfort me and make sure that I knew what was going on. We were truly blessed to have Ashley care for my baby girl.

From the day Ashley joined Johns Hopkins All Children's three years ago in one of our ICU fellowship cohorts, we have watched Ashley grow into a well-respected and amazing intensive care nurse. She is often recognized by colleagues, patients, and families for the kind, compassionate care she provides. Her service excellence shines through even during some of the most challenging circumstances and we are thankful to have her as a part of our team.
