Ashley is extremely competent, caring, and thorough. She explained everything well, which helped ease my concerns because I had just come from open-heart surgery. I was in pain and thought it was going to take me a long time to feel better. It was scary. Her assurance was a blessing and came at the right time. She added such a bright spot to my day. She always had a cheerful and encouraging outlook, and always had time for me. She made me feel special. Nurses are busy. She took the extra effort to ease my fears. She lifted my spirits up by sharing details of her life beyond the hospital. She told me about her children and what was going on in her life. Hearing about this helped me to feel connected to things beyond the hospital and not feeling well. It reminded me that life is about more than illness. Ashely has an empathetic nature and is the epitome of what it means to be a good nurse.
