Ashley, with every patient, goes above and beyond. She is compassionate and kind to patients, co-workers and families. In even the most difficult situations, she remains calm and collected. She has poise and is graceful. Ashley is a strong team leader in not only her clinical skills, but in her manner with co-workers. She takes the extra minute to listen with her heart. She truly cares and loves her patients.

She took care of a patient that needed intubation. The family was experiencing shock and denial. She helped the family come to terms with the given situation by really helping them to understand what was going on. Ashley showed honest sympathy for them, as well as the patient. She turned the family's horrible night into a more comfortable one, because she allowed them to express their emotions and frustrations openly without taking offense to the emotional way they were coping with the situation.

She is truly an awesome nurse, co-worker and friend!
