Ashley Tripp 2, RN

A 95-year-old patient was brought to the ED by EMS post-code. This patient had many complications from her resuscitation and her chance of survival was slim. The family decided to make her comfort measures only. Ashley went above and beyond for this patient and her family. She spent a great amount of time locating a priest to come to the hospital to perform the last rites for the patient at the family's request. This is not an easy task at 2 a.m. I believe Ashley deserves this award for extending great compassion to the patient and her family.
