Ashley does an excellent job of managing her unit and team members.
Ashley has placed our patients first in everything she does. She has led her team and other nursing teams with dedication and pride. Ashely continues to expand her responsibility and tool chest as a leader. She has willingly accepted new responsibility. She is excited and she is motivated...she leads in this way that helps transform the bedside leaders' focus on success. I have witnessed her leading by example as she has supported the 3 medical teams. Her approach is "Can Do", or more appropriately, "We can do it!"

Ashley has partnered with Dr. R on a new program, Joint Camp. Ashley has long seen the potential for this program and knows what we could offer to our patients, families, and providers. She once again has stepped up. I appreciate her leadership she is a blessing to CHRISTUS. Ashley is a change agent and leads by example in her daily work with staff. Core Values are Integrity and Excellence. Manager Comments: This leader gets it done! She sets the tone for any project or initiative. She has been blessed to see success in the years she has been at CHRISTUS which motivates her as a leader.

Compassion is the first core value that describes her, and every act is rooted in – She is ALL heart! She is driven by her team and the desire to see them each be successful. She truly has a gift of raising others up. She checks in and up on her team and other leaders. The results of her leadership can be seen in the Glint scores and felt when you are on her unit. She is a balanced leader who laughs and cries with her team but also knows the art of holding them accountable. Supporting comments for Ashley from leaders:

Ashley has been a joy to get to know as we’ve stood up Joint Camp. And I round (or used to before COVID) on her floor and am always impressed with how organized and orderly her unit and nurses' stations appear. First impressions are everything and her unit looks good!

Ashley does an excellent job of managing her unit and team members. I’ve had the honor of doing patient rounding on her unit and hearing the positive comments reported by her patients. She has also stepped up to organize the Joint Camp, which is an initiative to improve the outcomes and satisfaction of our orthopedic patients.

***

She has gone above and beyond daily. She leads by example with always the mission in mind. She has supported other peers throughout the Pandemic, she has helped start a new Joint program, and has led through adversity.

***

Ashley has a drive for results. She is very organized and has a great team which is due to her leadership. An excellent leader!

Hard worker, visible, innovative, adapts to change, cares about staff.

Ashley is a natural-born leader. She leads with the intent of supporting her staff and ensuring patient safety and patient satisfaction, as well as staff satisfaction, are her top priority. She is constantly thinking of ways to improve staff morale and patient care, how to develop an action plan for negative feedback, and celebrates all positive feedback. She leads her team in a successful and supportive environment and works hard to ensure her team is taken care of. She will go to bat for any of her coworkers. She's the energy we often need and the voice that speaks what we are all thinking. She can keep us calm or be our biggest hype man. Either way, her priorities are keeping everyone else happy. We see and feel it every day. She is selfless and caring, and one of the best coworkers and friends I have ever had! I am happy to work alongside her every day!

***

Ashley is a shining example of how CHRISTUS strives to develop “future” leaders. When my peers and I reach retirement we will be leaving CHRISTUS in her capable hands. She is a forward thinker and constantly asks questions and takes the time to develop new skills and volunteers for new projects. She has developed rapport and trust with surgeons, and in the medical field that is not easy! Capable, trustworthy, and compassionate.

I work Saturday’s and several times I have seen you here as well, working alongside of your associates. What makes this different is your attention to them, especially in the time of their greatest need. One Saturday, one of your associates experienced the shock of the sudden loss of a loved one and you compassionately brought the young lady and entrusted her into my care. It was an act of pure love for her. I feel certain that she will remember you and I carry that in my heart as well. Thank you, Ashley.
