When she was on duty, I would sense immediate peace because I knew every detail of my care would be managed, and it was. I had tears in my eyes when her shift was over.
Ashley is a patient advocate. She met me where I was and poured her heart and skills into me. It felt like I was her only patient. She took extra time to get to know me and my past medical history. She did this with genuine authenticity and not to check a box. She is witty and lighthearted. I found myself giggling despite the physical circumstance I was in. My pain is tricky. I've been in long-time chronic pain management. Due to the severity of my infection, Ashley went above and beyond to think outside of the box of ways to comfort me. She advocated for me for adequate pain control as though I was her sister or aunt. When she was on duty, I would sense immediate peace because I knew every detail of my care would be managed, and it was. I had tears in my eyes when her shift was over. To have Ashley in your corner is success. I am so fortunate, so blessed to have met her. Please give her praise as it is well deserved. I can see her rising to the top with a standard of care that is above and beyond. Excellence is how I would describe the care I received from her. Pain management patients get labeled in our society, and it can be completely unintentional. I was not judged or questioned once. Having Ashley as your nurse boils down to being a winner in life. Ashley, I will never forget you, and I hope our paths will meet again someday. All my thanks with all my heart.
