Upon arrival to the unit, the patient was aggressive and adamantly refused standard admit procedures. Ashley demonstrated kindness, patience, and compassion while using the correct pathways to maintain patient and staff safety all while effectively beginning the proper protocol which is demanding and time-intensive. Ashley endured poor treatment from the patient but never waivered in her kindness and skillful care. She remained calm and graceful under fire and her care for a difficult patient was impeccable.
