Her attitude, demeanor, confidence, smile, knowledge of systems and procedures, and sympathy have boosted our lives when we have lost trust and confidence in the healthcare staff.
We spent a week at another hospital and had an absolutely horrendous experience. We came to Lehi with not much hope for a good experience, and we were unexpectedly surprised. Ashlyn has helped us regain trust and confidence in the healthcare team here. She has shared her confidence and knowledge with us, as well as assurance that things will get better.
She is on the ball, never misses a beat, and has brought a feeling of relief since we arrived here. For the first time since being in the hospital, she actually got my son to talk to her, which is amazing because he has so much anxiety over the last week that he refused to communicate with any caregivers. She didn’t give up on him and gave us a reason to trust again. Her attitude, demeanor, confidence, smile, knowledge of systems and procedures, and sympathy have boosted our lives when we have lost trust and confidence in the healthcare staff.
After having such a bad experience last time, we didn’t trust the caregivers at all. None. She came in with a happy vibe, and without us asking, she was able to give us knowledge of what was happening, but also confidence that she knew what she was doing. She never hesitated and was always on top of everything. She did the little things that changed the experience completely. My son is extremely sensitive to smells right now and has been sick for so long that everything feels horrible and miserable. She noticed this and went out of her way to make sure everything was clean, smell-free, and out of sight right away, so he was more comfortable and more relaxed in a crappy situation.
We can tell that for her, this isn’t about going to work and following the normal day-to-day; this is about truly caring and making the best out of what’s going on with the patient. We really genuinely felt like she cared. We’ve had good nurses before, but she really sticks out as the best of the best! She deserves to know that what she’s doing really is making a difference.
