Our 20-year-old son was a patient on CCU. He was on a ventilator and on ECMO. Ashlyn made sure both my husband and I could be there with our son. Our son did not make it. The day we had to say goodbye was the worst day of our lives. She held his hand with me as I played a song for him in his final moments. Her compassion is truly a gift. A week after Adrian passed, I received his printed-out heartbeat strip from 16 minutes before he passed from Ashlyn. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
