Ashlynn Schmies, RN

Ashlynn took amazing care of my uncle during his stay in the ICU/IMC. She came in with bright energy and a positive attitude that made my family and me comfortable with leaving for the night. She had great knowledge of his care and answered all the questions that we had. My uncle had mentioned that he was having a difficult time staying positive, especially since it was during Easter. Ashlynn uplifted his spirits by coming over the next night with a handmade Easter basket and a few fidget toys, as my brother had left his at home. This gesture absolutely made my uncle and my family's week, knowing that a nurse has such compassion for their patients and the nursing field. My uncle has now passed recently, but up until his passing, he would show the hospice nurses and staff his fidget toys that the “sweet nurse at the hospital gave him”. Nurses like Ashlynn make those in the hospital feel just a bit better during hard times. Thank you, Ashlynn!
