Nurse Ashton took care of my infant daughter after surgery. She was great at helping us to facilitate communication between the different doctors and teams involved our daughter's post-op care. Ashton listened to our needs and made contact with individuals who could address those needs. She always knew just the right balance between doing her job as a nurse, overseeing the care of our daughter and when to let us be parents. My baby has low respirations and heart rates as her normal vitals. Ashton was so good at knowing the difference between my baby's normal and when to be medically concerned. She always seemed to have a level head and used common sense in her work and care. One night my husband had gone home and left me alone with my daughter. So when Ashton offered to take her to the nurse's desk and watch her for me while I showered and got some supper, I knew she would be in great care. That helped me tremendously, to be able to leave the room without having to leave my baby alone. We were very thankful to have her as a night nurse and always felt we got more rest on the nights she was working.
