I just gave birth to my fourth baby. This was by far the best experience I've had, and that was entirely due to Ashton and the amazing care she gave me. When I first arrived, she asked me about my hopes and expectations. I had mentioned I wanted to give birth to my last baby without an epidural. She was so supportive and wonderful at helping me achieve this goal, which I've had but failed at with each prior pregnancy. That's not the only reason I feel she is deserving of this award, but that is just one of the many. Ashton, through my entire labor, was right there comforting, supporting, and making sure my experience was as smooth as possible. She treated me and my decisions so respectfully and made sure that my husband was comfortable, too. I was so happy to find that during my entire stay she was right there by my side. I feel that in comparison to all my other stays (which I gave birth at three other hospitals, a different one for each child, in a different state each time).

She went so far above and beyond. On our second night’s stay, she also asked that a more comfortable chair be brought in for my husband to sleep in (he's a giant man, so it was quite obvious he was uncomfortable even though he didn't complain). Ashton was very observant and on top of any and all needs and incredibly knowledgeable and great at answering any questions we had. She is an incredible nurse who definitely deserves recognition for her hard work and kind nature.
