Asia was nominated by a 17-year-old trauma patient. He nominated Asia for her kindness and compassion. He wrote that Asia took her time and explained everything that was going on with him which made him less anxious. When he had to get his chest tube exchanged for a larger one and was very scared, Asia sat with him the whole time and always reminded all the medical staff that he was just a kid and was scared. She always listened to him and his concerns making him feel seen and heard. She made him less anxious and impacted his inpatient stay tremendously.
