My experience, my child was very scared of injections as he experienced them in other hospitals, especially cannulation. Yesterday night, one nurse came to us, she was not the one handling my child. She told us, I can go and let my child walk along the corridor so that she will feel at ease for the cannulation. My daughter somehow calmed down when she was walking. My daughter doesn’t have chappals because we were not able to think of bringing them at the time we came here. Nurse Aswathy noticed that in the far distance, I saw her run to another ward and grabbed a pair of chappals, and gave it to my daughter in a way she was baby talking. She was able to get my daughter’s trust and we did have any difficulty with the other procedures.
