As contractions intensified, Aswini swiftly attempted to contact the on-call obstetrician. Minutes passed, and she noticed the patient beginning to bear down—then, she saw it. The baby’s head was crowning. With no time to spare and the obstetrician still on the way, Aswini took charge. She urged the ED physician and other nurses to escalate the call for urgent obstetric support.
