There are a few words that come to mind that describe Athena - patience, knowledge and caring. When things required patience Athena showed me respect - quietly approaching the situation and then dealing with it always keeping me in mind (I was most important to her). There were lots of questions asked and she had a keen knowledge of the question - she knows her field. Athena is profoundly professional! Caring, as far as I was concerned Athena treated me as if I was the sole person in her care. NCH is very fortunate to have Athena on their staff.

She made my aunt's visit/recovery very special by making and developing a relationship with her in the short period of time they knew each other. Athena provided continuous information that helped my aunt be reassured she is doing great, her pain was temporary and how to properly stay on the road of recovery. Thank you, NCH, for everything and having RN's like Athena.

I really had a great experience at Bakers NCH. My nurses have been extraordinary, never made me feel like I was not wanted here. They were there whenever I called and got me whatever I needed. They were great with giving me my meds, food, taking me to the restroom, etc. Some of these nurses went above and beyond. Athena sticks in my head, so happy at work and helping people. Athena went above and beyond always! I am not sure what I would do without her help.
