Aubrey works in Oncology at Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute, where she helps patients through difficult times.

"She is passionate and has a heart for her patients," her nomination reads. "Aubrey regularly goes above and beyond, supporting not only her patients but also their families as they navigate the cancer journey. Because of her, our patients receive better care."

In addition to family and friends, many of Aubrey's co-workers filled the Guy Tabacco Conference Room for the Friday afternoon ceremony, with many of them sporting the same "Oncology Squad" T-shirts as Aubrey. Her squad had many kind words to share, and her nomination letter also highlighted Aubrey's bond with her co-workers.

"She is a leader by example and motivates others around her, and her patients appreciate her more than she knows."

"Oncology patients are truly special. It is their courage, their clinical complexity, and the opportunity to form lasting relationships with them that led me to become a nurse. It is a privilege to be a part of each patient's journey," Aubrey said.
