I want to start by saying every Nurse I encountered on this unit has been incredible! I met Aubrey Gross early on in my stay and she truly just brought a sense of peace during this terrifying time. Every time she came in to do a neuro check or give me medications, she took her time, answered my questions, and if she didn’t know something she knew who to contact to get the information. I am a young mom and honestly, this entire experience was just so surreal. During my tears and even a panic attack, Aubrey was there and comforting me. She genuinely talked to me about life and my children, even offered hugs! I think what took this full circle for me was the first night my kids were able to visit. I have an 8-year-old and 6-year-old and seeing anyone in a hospital is scary, but especially mom! Aubrey was there for a part of the visit and so genuinely interested in what my kids had to say. She spoke with them, asked them about their lives and interests - I could literally see my kids relaxing because she was just creating an environment of peace and calm. Aubrey is truly amazing!
