I followed Audrey's care of a patient in NSICU. This patient and entire family are from another country on a road trip. No family, no friends, just husband, wife, and 6-month old baby. Audrey went above and beyond to provide her own nanny to help the patient's wife with childcare. Audrey didn't have to use her personal resources at all and this made the biggest difference in the level of anxiety this incredible family had to deal with. Visiting from another country and all of a sudden losing your ability to walk, move, and breathe is beyond terrifying. Not to mention barely knowing English. I am beyond proud to say that I work with such an amazing, caring, thoughtful woman. I know the family is amazed at the level of thoughtfulness, resources, and time Audrey put into taking care of this family. Because of her I can guarantee UNMH will forever be the hospital that saved a dad and husband to this lovely wife and newborn baby. How awesome is it that UNMH will have such a high respect and great meaning to people all the way in another country? That is beyond awesome!
Good job Audrey! You are what every nurse should strive to be and I am proud to work alongside with you!

My husband came in here with neurological syndrome, not moving anymore. As his wife with our baby, this was a very horrible situation. We are from another country on vacation. So we have no family here. Audrey was my husband's nurse from the beginning. She activated her whole family and a lot of members to help me and my baby in this tremendously overwhelming situation. We had people coordinating baby's care, bringing food, and comforting me with all these terrible things happening. I felt very well taken care of. In this way, it has been an extremely amazing experience to receive that kind of help. I am very grateful for this support.
