January 2026 Honoree
Audrey Fish, RN
My dad had a very tough hospitalization where he finally decided to realize and accept that he will need a higher level of care moving forward. He has been fighting to keep his independence for a while now, with multiple recent hospitalizations and decreased quality of life. He experienced some difficult emotions and increased anxiety during his hospitalization.
Audrey Fish continually took the time to make him feel like a person, not just a patient, understanding his fragile physical and emotional state. She didn't baby him but treated him gently and allowed him to do anything he was able to do himself to help him feel strong and as independent as possible, even if that made her job a little harder. She showed my dad pictures of her animals and spent time telling funny stories about them to cheer him up, as he is a big animal lover. She took the time to provide education when his (or my) understanding was lacking. Audrey was a bright light during a dark time, and we are so grateful for the care she provided. She is an asset to HonorHealth as an organization, her coworkers, and most importantly, the patients she serves.
Thank you, Audrey.
