Our son was born on Tuesday. Audrey was our primary delivery nurse throughout the entire process. I couldn't have been happier with Audrey. I didn't speak with Audrey about her background, personal interests, nor experience. However, through my observations, she is an exceptional nurse. I don't know where she attended school or if this has anything to do with how she cares for patients, but Audrey just gets it. I watched her from the moment my wife's water broke until after the baby was delivered. She understands the physical aspects of serving a mother-to-be as well as the social/emotional needs.
For example, Audrey was changing the bedsheets, monitoring contractions, encouraging to push, all while assuring my wife not to worry, "You're doing so well," and "Everything looks normal." She made my wife and I feel so comfortable and that she wanted to be a part of this process unconditionally. It's Audrey's time to shine!
