audrey schoonmaker, RN

Audrey provides most of our asthma education. She has studied Spanish to provide education in the family's preferred language. She is sensitive to their culture and is respectful of family preferences with their child's health care. She consistently asks for input from other team members to facilitate meeting the patient's needs. Audrey helps families maneuver through unfamiliar tasks that may include refilling prescriptions, covering med needs with sample drugs or obtaining prior authorizations. She keeps current on scientific literature and regularly shares articles with the team. Her caring attitude extends to coworkers. Audrey is an asset to the nursing profession.
