We were caring for a patient who was admitted as a trauma resulting from a motor vehicle accident. The patient extubated himself. Audrey took this very stressful episode and turned it into a teaching experience. She was able to keep the patient and me calm as she took care of this unfortunate situation.
Audrey is a fantastic role model of a critical care nurse. She trains nurses and provides a positive example of an extraordinary caregiver. She inspires us to always put patient care first. She leads by example. Audrey is proactive in working to improve clinical operations, staff relationships and the level of care we provide our patients. For Audrey nursing is not just a career, but a calling!
