Augusta exemplifies day surgery expectations and values. She consistently provides excellent care to our internal/external clients using the Best and Safest Care tools. She uses the AIDET when introducing and caring for the children/families. She uses STAR when reviewing a plan/procedure such as accessing a port. She is willing to go above and beyond the day surgery expectations such as being Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified. She handles challenging situations well, such as the daily radiation patients. Her leadership qualities are recognized as she assumes the role of relief charge nurse.

She is an excellent resource for new staff. Augusta has been a supportive and compassionate nurse willing to help others. Augusta's positive attitude is consistently shines around the unit.
