We had a patient who did not speak English and who was incapacitated in a number of other ways as well. Aurea stood at her bedside throughout the exam offering comfort to both the patient and her family. After the exam, she relayed other concerns the family had mentioned and offered a suggestion as to how to improve on her daily care. She exemplifies compassion and strength. This very vulnerable patient was well-served by her heart and determination to provide the best care possible.
