April 2026 Honoree
Austin Carman, BSN, RN
Austin consistently is the first to see when others are struggling and offers help. He is a very valuable team player who helps keep the floor going. Isolation room, no problem. Unstable patient, no problem. When you have a drip in a corner room and more, Austin will volunteer himself and render aid. His positivity and consistency do not go unnoticed. Today was one such example.
I started my shift with needing to sign off on heparin, and he was immediately there. This allowed me to deal with my other workload efficiently. He did it all with a smile and a positive attitude, despite having emotionally challenging family members he was dealing with. I am proud of him and his steadfast commitment to this profession.

Thank you, Austin, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
