When we arrived to the room Austin was a breath of fresh air. We were alarmed, scared and he was just so cheerful and a little goofy (in the best way possible). My daughter had never been admitted to a hospital before and was really shy, but Austin brought her out of her shell.  He brought her snacks and juices, joking with her every time they interacted, making her feel comfortable. He was super gentle when dealing with her IV and infection site.  He was super respectful that first night making sure she and I got some sleep. My daughter was excited when they decided to keep us another night thinking she would get Austin again for the 2nd night. Unfortunately we didn't, but he made sure to stop by and check in on her and even made time to play a board game with her. She was laughing and joking with him.  He truly went above and beyond for her. There are no words to thank you, Austin, for your kindness, your upbeat spirit, and amazing personality.
