When my 89-year ill mother had a massive heart attack she was rushed from Gateway to Banner Heart Hospital. She has had amazing care from the start but Austin was amazing. Since my father is 92 I asked to stay the night beside my mother. Austin was more than accommodating and never made me feel like I was in the way during my stay. You could tell immediately the genuine care and concern of this nurse. You could see it in his eyes and heart. He was always reassuring, very attentive, and had a kind gentle way about how he treated my mother, me and my entire family. His tone of voice was always gentle but confident and he waited by her bedside to make sure she was stable and waiting for the Zofran to kick in after surgery. He carefully attended to her needs all through the night and early hours of the morning. I was reassured by his actions that my mother had a competent nurse on her side. Our questions were answered timely and Austin explained many procedures and problems she was having. Our family truly appreciates his kindness, expertise, and genuine care. I haven't witnessed this type of care in a long time. Thank you all for your help!!
