Autumn F Hart, RN, PHN

Autumn Hart made a significant impact in a unique situation in the care of a patient during clinical. In the second semester, students were taught about the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale. Students could become certified in this scale after taking an online exam. This was optional and Autumn chose to complete this learning. As a result, she was able to identify changes in one of her patients during clinical and communicated this to the health care team. Her ability to demonstrate exceptional assessment skills were vital to this situation and she clearly advocated for this patient. Part of why she realized the change was her ability to make a connection with the patient and learn their baseline status. This commitment to compassionate care is inspirational and shows her ability to be a role model within the program and profession!
