There is a patient on our floor who doesn't have a thing to his name and has been here for some time. This patient loves to sit out at the nurse's station and talk with the nurses but hates not having clothes to be in "public". With only the gown that he came in with, Autumn took it upon herself to go purchase the man some clothes so that he was more comfortable and felt good about being up and about at the nurse's station. Autumn also volunteers to get the patient up and sits with him (he is a fall risk) while she is charting or is charging that day. She genuinely cares about this patient's physical and emotional wellbeing and has exemplified going above and beyond for the patients we care for.
