Avisha works extraordinarily hard, and even with her extensive to-do lists, she still makes time to tutor me and help me succeed. She is determined, and will someday make an amazing ICU nurse. I have not known Avisha for very long, but I know that she is selfless, smart, and dedicated member of D’Youville. She is also a student leader in the newly added wellness lodge where she serves as the chairperson of spiritual health advocating for her peers. She also works as a student ambassador advocating for the nursing program to new students. Avisha was also an orientation leader, and her personality stood out from the rest. She is compassionate to other students who are struggling in classes during her tutoring appointments and genuinely cares about their test outcomes. I believe Avisha is the perfect choice for the DAISY Award due to her compassion, leadership, and advocacy work in her student leader positions.
