Ayishah stepped in and not only listened to my detailed instructions about my daughter's care but followed them flawlessly.
Ayishah Palfox was nothing short of incredible with my daughter, who was hospitalized with COVID-19. G has special needs and requires around-the-clock care, and with our entire family battling the illness, it’s been an overwhelming time for all of us. I desperately needed a day to rest and recover at home. Ayishah stepped in and not only listened to my detailed instructions about my daughter's care but followed them flawlessly. She reassured me with such kindness, saying, “Don’t stress—I’ve got her. You take the time to rest.” Those words were a lifeline for me as a mother, allowing me to finally get a few hours of much-needed sleep and focus on recuperating.
What touched my heart the most was how Ayishah went above and beyond to keep G connected to me. She offered to play music for her, and she even put the phone to G’s ear so I could talk to her twice! G is nonverbal, and many people assume that means she doesn’t understand, but she does. Ayishah understood that, too, and her efforts to bridge the gap between us were deeply comforting. This is the kind of care G deserves—thoughtful, compassionate, and full of heart. I am so grateful for Ayishah, who not only cared for my daughter but brought peace to a worried mom in the process.
