Working with Ayllyn both on the thoracic floor and in the ED over the past 2 years, I have been constantly amazed by her clinical skills, compassion for her patients, and excellent teamwork. During this time, I constantly saw Ayllyn helping the junior residents manage postoperative complications on the thoracic floor and making sure her patients in the ED get prompt and adequate care. She is also very skilled under pressure, excelling in the trauma bay, and consistently manages several complex patients at once.

Moreover, Ayllyn is heavily invested in education, taking the time to learn from residents and teach both residents and medical students’ procedures such as placing IV lines and performing a good trauma evaluation. She constantly advocates for her patients, provides them with reassurance when they need it and is never shy about wanting what’s best for her patients.

In short, Ayllyn is one of the most exemplary nurses I’ve had the pleasure of working with, and both her patients and colleagues are very lucky to have her.
