Aysha Qurashi, RN

I was brought in through the ER with an acute condition, cardiac arrest. I didn’t have a chance to choose my hospital of care. I woke up and found myself in West Houston Hospital ICU and was scared more of the fact that West Houston would not be my first choice. But by the second day, I met this amazing nurse who showed up with a big smile and a hand waved towards me through the room's window. The care she gave me was excellent. Her kind words and professionalism made me feel much better and safe. As a nurse educator myself, I know that this is the nurse that every patient needs, and every nurse should follow in her footsteps. Again, I came in with doubts and insecurities, but Aysha made an everlasting impression on this hospital, and for that, I would like to nominate her for this prestigious award. Thank you, Aysha, for all your hard work.
