Azizah took special care of the child differently and began taking her out of the room every day, offering her many toys, and helping her to walk and speak as well, until the child’s condition changed.
This patient came from the intensive care unit to our department on the first day of Eid. She is three years old. She was very pale and emaciated, with sad eyes. She was accompanied by her mother, who herself was only 18 years old. The medical team considered the possibility that she was abused because she had no obvious signs of being unwell, but she fell on her head twice, leading to her admission. She also lacked proper nutrition. The medical team decided to monitor the mother’s behavior with the child and the child’s appetite. All the nurses did their work, but I noticed that my colleague took special care of the child differently and began taking her out of the room every day, offering her many toys, and helping her to walk and speak as well, until the child’s condition changed. She started walking normally like other children, saying some words and laughing with everyone. Finally, I cannot mention everything, but I saw how the child’s condition changed for the better. The nurse continued to inquire about the child’s well-being from the medical team for any information about her.
