It is with great pride and confidence that we nominate Baby Lolita Orsua for for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award. She is a well-rounded person, an excellent leader.
 
She manages the floor with versatility. She leads not only 5th floor but when needed, she can support and lead both 4th and 5th as deemed necessary with optimism. She is the calm amidst the storm. 
 
She represents our department with exceptional confidence. She advocates for our staff and patients. We witness this during council meetings. She is very knowledgeable about Performance Improvement. She supports her staff leads with her skills, expertise, and wide knowledge and experience. She caters to every opportunity where staff can be developed. 
 
She has a very good professional relationship with staff and with all other multi-disciplinary members of the team. She is very helpful, she is "hands-on ".  She responds promptly and actively to the needs of the floor. 
 
She is also very creative. She has a lot of talents to share like singing, Zumba, and the like. With staff-led activities, she doesn't say NO if we ask her to contribute for her ideas and as a resource. She drives teamwork and team - development. She upholds resilience. 
 
She emanates the caring attributes of a NURSE. She is indeed a Caritas Coach. When rounding with the patients and their families, she ensures quality patient outcomes.  Patients, families, and all staff respect her. She deserves to be recognized.
