Bahador L Bemani, BSN
Since the start of his nursing program journey at Hood College, Bahador Bemani has indisputably earned a reputation among all nursing program faculty for being an exceptional nursing student. Bahador is highly intelligent, meticulous and possess a solid work ethic. In the words of his senior clinical practicum preceptor:
“Bahador was always early for clinical to ensure that he thoroughly reviewed each patient’s electronic medical record. Bahador has a wonderful bedside manner which makes for a great nurse. He has excellent communication skills and demonstrated active listening. Bahador was truly excited to learn, and always lent a hand to other nurses and patients which is vital to teamwork. He had thoughtful inquiries and I could never stump him with my on-the-spot quizzes! Bahador was a role model for what a nursing student should be. He went through his practicum wanting to learn and absorb everything he could. The sky is the limit for Bahador and I know he is going to achieve great things.”
In all nursing program courses, Bahador proceeded with calm and confidence. He was always courteous and professional to faculty, students, and patients being mindful that care, compassion, and service to others is an important principle. Bahador is also commended for his leadership, and teamwork, especially providing support and assistance to fellow nursing students in the classroom and at the clinical site. Bahador exemplifies a spirit of empathy, compassion, leadership, and advocacy in nursing, which is why he was chosen by Hood College nursing program faculty as a 2023 Student DAISY Award Honoree.
