Bailey Bowers, BSN, RN

I want to recognize Bailey for her care for a patient who was choosing to de-escalate their own care. She took great care to make sure that the patient had the best last shift in the ICU that he could have had. She was present for the family during the meeting where the decision was made to de-escalate care, made sure that the patient was comfortable and that the family was informed about what the next steps would be, and stayed into part of the next shift to bring the patient out of the ICU and make sure that the patient was settled onto their new unit. So often this is a lot of an ICU nurse's workflow - but Bailey took the extra steps to make a very difficult decision and day for the family and made it a little less difficult.
