January 2026 Honoree
Bailey Layne, RN
We had been at the VA since 6:00 am and were tired and worried about the outcome of bloodwork. Bailey must have noticed how we felt and took over wheelchair duty.
She took us, sat us down, and began cheering us up with positive conversation. She let us talk and complain about being tired, etc and it was very therapeutic. She is good at that. She made copies of all lab work for us to take to our other doctor; she just remembered we needed it, and we didn't even have to ask.
She made sure we were comfortable! We had to hug her!

Thank you, Bailey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
