Bailey Leuthner, RN

Over the last month, Bailey has shown incredible compassion and care of the unit and its patients. A few weeks ago we had a patient pass on our floor, he was a young man with cancer and he left widowed his wife and newborn baby. It was a long night and there were tears but Bailey supported the unit. She spoke with his family and coordinated with the morgue to give them the longest time possible. Nearly nine people, including his extended family, ended up in our unit and were able to say goodbye. Since then Bailey has continued to show amazing leadership, when on the floor. Once Bailey worked tirelessly to control her patient's blood pressure, roughly she spent almost four hours in order to not have to send a patient to the ICU. Both as a charge and as a floor nurse she takes care of our most critical patients with care and competence.
