I came to BSW Marble Falls ER experiencing low blood pressure and low heart rate. I was diagnosed with Total Heart Block and transported by ambulance to BSW Lakeway, where the diagnosis was confirmed. I received a heart pacemaker and was released after overnight observation and interrogation of the pacemaker.

After returning home Friday afternoon,  I began experiencing high blood pressures/high heart rate alternating with low blood pressures/low heart rate. After attempting unsuccessfully to contact Lakeway Cardiology, I reported to BSW Marble Falls ER. There, a team of Nurse Baily and two other young nurses, and the doctor, quickly confirmed the symptoms, interrogated the pacemaker, determined the pacemaker specifications, and contacted a local Medtronic specialist who guided them in trouble-shooting the pacemaker by telephone. Once the pacemaker issue was confirmed, the nurses continued to closely monitor my condition until Medtronic arrived from San Marcos. The specialist then made a subtle programming change that corrected an uncommon, and potentially life-threatening anomaly. I was then released to return home, and have experienced no further symptoms.

Nurse Bailey represents the highest standards of Emergency Room care and deserves recognition. Thank you BSW ER for being there with compassion, diligence, and knowledge when I needed urgent care.
