Bailey experienced an incredibly difficult and emotional trauma at the end of her orientation period. Despite being a new nurse, Bailey gracefully handled being both a nurse and a support system to this patient's family and friends. She actively listened and provided comfort to those who were grieving, all while executing incredible critical thinking and bedside care. While providing comfort to the mother, the mother often referred to her son as her "shining star". Bailey decided to go above and beyond to provide comfort to the mother and gave her a star-shaped gift to help honor and remember her son. Bailey's coworkers are so honored to work with such a compassionate nurse, and are so excited to see how she continues to grow as an amazing nurse!
