September 2025 Honoree
Bambi Kuhlman-Utulo, BSN, RN
I was admitted to the hospital for heart problems and high blood pressure. One person stood out during my 2-day stay here. I was fortunate enough to have Bambi as my nurse. When she introduced herself, she continued by asking how I was doing and about my ailment. I know she did it because she genuinely cared, not just because of protocol. During her shift, when dealing with me, she helped listen, took action, and made me feel that I was her only patient. She was on top of what medications because my BP would just not lower. It was almost time for her to go home when I realized my IV was bleeding. I brought it to her attention; she was absolutely sympathetic, very courteous, and caring. She changed the IV and moved it to my other hand. To me, everything she did was beyond the call of duty; she deserves to be recognized for the wonderful human being she is. I wish her all the very best, thank you!
